Lulu is Home!!Rylan and I drove to Cross Plains, Texas yesterday to pick Lulu up from her breeder family. Oh my goodness!! Needless to say, it was love at first sight for everyone! Lulu was a little bit sick at first from being in the car for the first time (other than trips to the vet with her litter mates). She handled it like a champion though. I didn't even know she could make a sound until long after we got home when she growled at my feet moving under the covers. She's got quite a growl for such a tiny body - I'm scared to hear what her bark sounds like!! Rylan, of course, really wanted to hold my baby (that's what she always said, "KK, can I hold your baby? Lulu?") so Lulu actually rode in Rylan's lap about half of the way home and slept so hard that when I asked Rylan if she was ok and still breathing, Rylan's reply was, "Ummm. No, I think she's just dead." I both cracked up and panicked and didn't relax until Lulu's eyes opened to look at me. I'm a paranoid mother.
When we got back to Kelli's house, Reese squeeled with delight when we walked in and wanted to know all about the little thing in my arms, but she soon lost interest and wanted to eat her crayons instead. Rylan, however, did not lose interest and within minutes the babystroller came out and Lulu the puppy was a human infant.
